Thomas DaRosa first started in the home building industry as an independent residential builder/developer in the San Francisco east bay area in 90’s specializing in entry level homes, utilizing manufactured homes on private infill development lots. Projects completed included over 250 single family and duplex units, custom built residential homes, apartment buildings, condominium unit projects and a senior housing complex.
In 1994, he joined a startup company called Advantage Homes, a manufactured home sales company in San Jose, California, which eventually became the largest retailer in the state of California. As regional sales manager at the main sales center, he helped the company grow from 60 new units delivered in 1996 to 500 new units in 1999; then in 2000, he was asked to start expanding Advantage Homes into Southern California, by way of the Central Coast area to begin expanding into San Luis Obispo county, Ventura county, and the Santa Barbara county markets. He spent 16 years helping build Advantage Homes grow from the ground up.
In 2012, Thomas DaRosa and Rick Milanesa opened TDR Properties LLC, DBA Central Coast Hybrid Homes for business in Arroyo Grande, California. The main focus was on custom site built homes and a custom modular home retail operation to service the Central Coast of California.
Their primary target market segment was speculating in residential in-fill city lots and secondary manufactured homes & mobile home park infill redevelopment. They also operated as a real estate brokerage with both members being licensed by BRE.
THEY NOW CELEBRATE THEIR START UP STORY… In the first 5 years of doing business as CC Hybrid Homes, they have replaced 120 old homes with new manufactured homes, purchased and developed 18 residential city lots, all self funded with the support of Golden West Homes/Clayton Homes. 2017 is looking better than ever as they expand their territories and capabilities across California.
